As part of the People and Culture team at ECU, this newly created role has an exciting opportunity to set the standard and define how talent acquisitions will operate at Edith Cowan University.

ECU’s People and Culture team is focussed on empowering the talent and potential of our staff, where a great employee experience is central to how we operate and support our stakeholders across the university. Sitting within the Workforce Strategy and Capability team, this role will partner with key stakeholders within the wider P&C team and across the business to create and promote ECU’s new talent acquisition strategy.

The Role

Under broad direction, with the mandate to innovate, the primary responsibilities and accountabilities of this position are to:

Design, deliver and lead an end-to-end talent acquisition strategy that establishes ECU as a national and international employer of choice, with a strong emphasis on exceptional candidate experience and alignment to ECU’s Equity and Inclusion plan.

Establish the connection to ECU’s EVP throughout the talent acquisitions strategy ensuring enrichment and alignment to ECU master brand strategy.

Create innovative and contemporary tools and resources to ensure high-quality and consistent application of our talent processes.

Establish and design talent acquisitions standards and methodology through data-informed decision making and emerging trends that align with best practice. This includes defining what talent metrics will be captured to inform ECU’s talent acquisition KPI’s.

Develop and deliver customised talent pipeline/pooling solutions to address critical business requirements including utilisation of global talent markets.

Provide expert consultation, coaching and support to build ECU’s talent acquisitions capability within the P&C team and across the University.

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.

Benefits & Remuneration

This 12 month fixed term contract attracts a remuneration of $122,934 - $128,562 plus up to 17% University superannuation contribution.
